10 MOST POWERFUL WOMEN IN THE WORLD


Forbes is the most highly acclaimed magazine worldwide and it is best known for the listings of popular figures that it does in its annual issue. In its last issue, the list of 100 Most Powerful Women was highly appreciated by everyone because most of the readers commented that the listing is accurate and free from any kind of bias. The list is made after evaluation of the various women on various factors and the major ones are the money, media presence and entrepreneurship; hence, the list is a proper blend of wealth, creative influence and entrepreneurship. As a result, many pop stars and politicians are ranked side by side at the top. All these powerful women collectively control £18.5 trillion and have an average age of 54; twenty-nine women are chief executives, eight are heads of state and twenty-two are single as well.

According to Forbes, the top 10 World’s Most Powerful Women, in descending order are and I agree with the listing as well are Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, Dilma Rousseff, Indra Nooyi, Sheryl Sandberg, Melinda Gates, Sonia Gandhi, Michelle Obama, Christine Lagarde and Irene  Rosenfeld. Ms. Merkel is the German Chancellor and is well-known for being the undisputed leader of Europe and has taken the number one rank from First Lady Michelle Obama who is now on the eighth position.
 

Hillary Clinton, the United States Secretary of State, is well-known for excellent and hardworking performance and spectacular service for the country. Dilma Rousseff is President of Brazil and is among the first ladies to bring a revolution in Brazil. Indra Nooyi who is the Chief Executive of PepsiCo in United States is the most affluent ladies in the business world. Sheryl Sandberg is Chief Operations Officer of Facebook in United States and is well-known for the introduction of the highly acclaimed social network i.e. Facebook. Melinda Gates is the Cofounder and Co chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in United States. Sonia Gandhi is the President of Indian National Congress Party in India. The First Lady, Michelle Obama is given the eighth ranking and is well-reputed for the exceptional services that she is rendering for her nation. Christine Lagarde is rendering exceptional service for non-profit organization i.e. International Monetary Fund as its Managing Director in France. Finally, at the tenth position is Irene Rosenfeld who is the Chief Executive Officer of Kraft Foods.
